Piero Martinotti


Mr. Martinotti advises TVP primarily on corporate and manufacturing strategy, having experience in both large multinational corporate and early-stage start-ups with high-tech focus; a veteran of the semiconductor industry with titles such as Sales and Marketing Director at Motorola (1975) and Head of Corporate Strategic Planning at ST-Microelectronics (1990). While at STM he co-led the group growth from €800M revenues (1987) to €10bn (2000), with 1.4bn net profits mainly through organic growth, expanding mass manufacturing to Asia. Among his mandates at STM, he was General Manager for the New Venture Group developing spin-offs (1994). Since retirement, Mr. Martinotti has been an advisor, board member and chairman of many high-tech start-ups such as UPEK, Accent, Sensitive Objects, Medialario as well as venture capital funds Sofinnova and myQube.
